As someone who has worked in over 90 countries and led two international organisations whose focus has included the prevention of substance abuse I can say with complete sincerity that Anthony Abi Zeid stands out as an exceptional example of someone who is extremely capable, conscientious and committed. I had the pleasure and chance to work closely with Anthony in his capacity as Programs Coordinator at the Lebanese Red Cross – Youth Sector from 2016-2020.
Form what I experienced with Anthony, I testify that he is a highly competent person that tends to communicate very directly with others, favoring action over prolonged analysis. Assertive, decisive, independent and focuses on end results. He can take up challenges of whatsoever. He showed a strong ability to handle sensitive portfolios and lead complex projects. As Programs Coordinator, Anthony was able to manage three major programs effectively and efficiently, respectively, the Youth and Health program, the Humanitarian Principles and Values, and the Environment one. The work entailed planning and organizing, capacity building, budget preparation, monitoring and evaluation, and volunteers’ management.
Anthony has an exceptional stewardship and strategic planning skills, and exceptionally, was able to promote the role of Youth at the highest governance levels. Anthony is a pleasure to work with. He is a real asset to any institution that he’s with.
As President and founder of the Association “Solidarity Child of Lebanon”, I had the opportunity to meet Anthony Abi Zeid when he was a child and had to face a particularly difficult family situation.
Endowed with a strong character and a keen desire to do well and succeed, Anthony had a trouble-free academic career despite all the inherent worries he had to overcome alone, both in the children’s home and after boarding school.
Personally involved in humanitarian work since 1996, Anthony has been imbued year after year with the method followed and has been able to draw inspiration from it by adding to it what makes his personality .
Sensitive , affectionate , grateful , faithful both in friendship and affection towards his family, he always wanted to keep in touch and gradually grew in both maturity and professionalism .

Every evening, Anthony, whatever his day’s commitments, comes to find me there to listen to me and share with me a moment of relaxation.
In his various projects, he always takes care to do well by having courteous contacts in his relations with his colleagues . During personal problems of one or the other he knows how to listen to them and propose solutions: priceless quality! He also knows how to challenge himself by analyzing himself objectively and surprisingly, showing modesty . Conversely, he also knows how to explode with joy when he reaches his goal and succeeds!!
